GC Aesthetics announces new Head of Supply Chain

GC Aesthetics is pleased to announce the appointment of Monique Marcellin as the new GCA Head of Supply Chain. In this extended role Monique will continue to align supply and demand and will lead supply chain initiatives dedicated to customer satisfaction and GCA efficiencies, such as freight costs optimisation, stock management etc.

Monique joined GCA 15 months ago as Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Manager contributing to a better alignment between demand and supply improving customer service/care and stock management across all GCA countries. Her experience has been appreciated at all levels and she will continue in her new role to unlock opportunities to create even more value for our customers and GCA.

Monique has more than 15 years’ experience in International Supply Chain. She worked on various regulated industries as Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices and Cosmetic for well-known companies such as Galderma, Bioderma, Wyeth or Nestlé. She has been deploying supply chain networks, improving processes in Demand/Supply Planning and reducing inventories. A few years in Sales and Marketing, managing a distributor network or a subsidiary in Singapore helped her to directly experience business challenges.

We had some burning questions for Monique about her new role and her leadership style:


What do you find interesting about the Head of Supply Chain role?

I’m excited about this new role in GCA to help develop new ways of working, a more cross-functional approach to take better decisions which can benefit everyone. As a support function, I see my role as a solution provider to help to increase our customer satisfaction, reduce our costs while bringing confidence to our teams to make it happen in the smoothest way. With new product launches, many on-going projects and a great team, my motto remains “working better together”.


What do you consider the biggest challenges and opportunities?

The biggest challenge for me is to leverage all internal skills and competencies to define and execute new ways of working. By understanding how supply chain can help, we can find the most agile and cost-efficient solutions. Opportunities are everywhere, it is all about finding time and prioritising to turn them into reality!


How would you describe your leadership style?

Listening, asking questions, exchanging views, sharing information, giving directions, trying to help each team member to increase their skills.

This is how I try to ensure things are moving forward and the team enjoys working together.


How do you keep your work-life balance?

Home schooling my kids… NO.

Some sport, nurturing friendships and reading helps me to keep some sanity.


If you could pick up a new skill in an instant, what would it be?

To speak all languages as a native speaker!
